EMR Seminar, CERN Geneva 2013

EMR seminar at CERN Geneva (Switzerland), November 2013

Dr. Philippe BARRADE (LEI, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzreland) has given a seminar on EMR on 25 November 2013 at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), Geneva (Switzerland). This seminar aims to introduce this methodology through two examples. In a first part, the key elements of EMR and inversed base control have been briefly presented. The second part has been dedicated to the study of DC/DC or DC/AC converter with input filters. The use of EMR leads to an original control structure for solving input filter instability issues. The last part has detailled the control of a hybrid elevator, where EMR enable to identify clearly which part of the control belongs to fast close control, and which one is more related to pure energy managementstrategies.More than 20 scientists have attended this EMR seminar.
