EMR seminar at EPFL, 2014

A seminar on EMR has been organized at  EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland), 3-4 September 2014 for scientists of CERN..

This EMR seminar has been organized by Dr. Philippe BARRADE (LEI, EPFL. The lectures, excercices and simulation sessions have been ensured by Dr. Philippe BARRADE (EPF Lausanne) and Prof. Alain BOUSCAYROL (Univ. Lille1, L2EP, MEGEVH, France),

This seminar was dedicated to scientists of CERN, (European Organization for Nuclear Research, previously Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire), in particular of its "Electrical Power Converter" group.

6h of lectures / 6h of simulation

1. "Introduction"  pdf file
2. "System, Causality and Energy"  pdf file
3. "Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR)" pdf file
4. "Exemple of the EMR of an EV" pdf file
5. "Inversion-based control"  pdf file
6. "Exemple of the control of an InputFilter"  pdf file
7. "Other applications"  pdf file

Simulation was focused on the traction system of an EV.

Dr. P. Barrade and Prof. A. Bouscayrol before running the seminar

"Causality is very important for energy!" (Dr. Barrade)

A very attentive audience fascinated by the speaker... and causality!

"Don't worry, EMR is fun!" (Prof. A Bouscayrol)

A new motivated teacher!

The conflicts of association is not so fun to solve... when the notatons are copnfusing!
